Diversity, Equity & Inclusion: Steps Your Company Can Take

Promoting an antiracist environment in the workplace is critical to the success of any organization in today’s world. Engaging in conversations about race can elicit uncomfortable feelings, anxiety, and perhaps stronger emotions such as anger and frustration. Regardless of where workers are in their understanding of racism, it’s critically important to build a culture of empathy and respect so that workers feel embraced, recognized, and valued in the workplace. This session will help participants understand:

  • what racism is.
  • how to see equity through an antiracist lens.
  • the difference in stereotypes, prejudice, discrimination, and racism.
  • strategies on identifying and dismantling systems, policies, and procedures that create inequity.
